Topics we never larp about

At Heartless events we play on -almost- everything from floor to ceiling. We have of course arranged cozy games, but we have had our fair share of games where we have played on topics that can be difficult or uncomfortable to play on. Here we have set up rules for which things we never play on or even talk about during Heartless events. This also means that we do not approve outside game suggestions that are based on these topics or that run the imminent risk of getting features where these topics are involved

Off attribute discrimination

At Heartless events, we do not play on discriminating against characters based on actors' age, ethnicity, sex/gender, gender identity, functional variation, or other off-factors.

However, in-game discrimination can occur, but in such cases, the individual player is careful to convey what that discrimination looks like and how we distance ourselves from the player.

Suicide

We do not larp on suicide or overt, physical self-harm at Heartless events. These are sensitive topics for many, and we want to avoid the various difficult emotions and off-trauma that may be associated with the topic for our players.

Sexual assault

We do not larp on sexual assault at Heartless events in any form. We view any sexual act that occurs between two characters where one character does not have the ability to say no as sexual assault, and are something we want to stay away from to avoid any potential hurt feelings and trauma related to events that our players may have experienced outside of the event.
